Job Description

  • Act as the Voice of the Customer, investigating concerns, nonconformances, and complaints through root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality systems, tools, and inspection processes
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support new product launches and process changes
  • Review internal nonconforming material and drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Support and guide Quality Inspectors to ensure compliance with quality system and customer requirements
  • Improve first article, in-process, and final inspection methods and documentation
  • Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports; lead submissions at higher levels
  • Support audits (internal, customer, and third-party) and contribute to maintaining the Quality Management System
  • Promote safety, 6S practices, and organized work environments

The Successful Applicant

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field (Bachelors preferred for senior level)
  • Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of inspection methods, machine shop gauging, and blueprint reading
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and drive improvements to completion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation tools
  • For senior-level candidates: aerospace experience, GD&T expertise, audit leadership, and AS9102 knowledge
