Web Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to design, build, and maintain high-performing, user-friendly websites and web applications. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of front-end and/or back-end development, with a focus on clean code, performance optimization, and seamless user experience.

Job Highlights

• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour unpaid break | Pacific Time
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain responsive websites and web applications
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
• Follow best practices for web security and data protection

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in web development
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with SEO principles and web analytics
• Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
