About the Company:

Sagan represents a fast-growing media and content team focused on scaling premium short-form video social content. The team is execution-driven, collaborative, and focused on storytelling, visual clarity, and conversion through engaging media formats.

Position Overview:

We’re hiring a full-time video editor to lead post-production for a high-volume content pipeline—including short-form YouTube videos, podcast episodes, livestream recordings, and up to 25 short-form clips per week. You’ll serve as the editorial engine behind a prolific content creator, shaping both narrative-driven longform pieces and viral-ready shortform content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and deliver longform YouTube videos and up to 25 shortform clips per week.
• Craft dynamic shortform edits optimized for IG Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Apply brand-aligned visual styling, pacing, sound design, and effects.
• Collaborate with the creative lead and production team to align on direction and messaging.
• Incorporate feedback quickly while maintaining consistent quality.
• Organize and manage files using established workflows (Frame.io, Google Drive, etc.).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of video editing experience across short-form content.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with CapCut and Descript (or willingness to learn).
• Portfolio demonstrating narrative editing, pacing, and social-first content.
• Strong understanding of viral trends, hooks, and retention strategies.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication within a remote team.
• Reliable internet connection and professional editing workstation.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with project management tools (Notion, Trello).
• Familiarity with Frame.io, Slack, and cloud-based workflows.
• Basic motion graphics or text animation skills (After Effects, etc.).
• Understanding of basic content analytics and optimization.
