US Bookkeeper

About the Role

SmartScale360 partners with growing U.S. businesses by providing exceptional remote professionals. We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and support U.S.-based franchise operations through accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Location: Remote

Salary: PHP 40,000/month + Performance Bonuses

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Process and reconcile bank deposits and bank feed transactions
• Record payroll journal entries from third-party payroll providers
• Reconcile bank accounts, loan accounts, and credit card accounts monthly
• Categorize expenses and maintain organized financial records
• Prepare recurring journal entries for commissions, COGS, royalties, advertising expenses, office expenses, depreciation, interest, and other month-end adjustments
• Communicate with franchise owners regarding financial records and bookkeeping matters
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reports
• Assist with other bookkeeping-related tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (supporting U.S. businesses preferred)
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting franchise businesses
• Familiarity with ServiceMinder or similar field service software

• Laptop/PC: Intel i5 or equivalent, 8GB RAM minimum
• Internet: 100 Mbps stable connection
• Backup: Secondary device, internet, and power supply required
