ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Our client is a growing electrical company based in Colorado, USA. This is a full-time remote role working 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Mountain Time (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Philippine Time).
JOB SUMMARY:
This role is focused on bookkeeping and financial administration for a growing electrical business and works directly under the Owner while supporting Project Managers with invoicing follow-up and billing management. You will own the day-to-day QuickBooks function, with responsibility for AR, AP, payroll, invoicing, bookkeeping control, and maintaining accurate project-related pricing and billing records across QuickBooks, BuildOps, and other contractor platforms.
This role is expected to take strong ownership of the bookkeeping function from the outset and, once fully established in the role, become the main independent bookkeeper/accountant for the business. As the company grows, there is also scope for the role to expand into broader operational and coordination support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks
Handle AR, AP, payroll, and invoicing
Support invoicing through BuildOps and other contractor / client platforms
Support Project Managers with invoicing follow-up and billing management
Maintain accurate records for pricing, actuals, and historical project / bid data
Cross-check invoice and job information across QuickBooks, BuildOps, and other systems
Assist with weekly project / invoicing status reporting
Learn additional systems used by the business in the first few months
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
US or Australian sub-contractor or general construction accounting experience
Once fully established in the role, this person will be expected to take full ownership and oversight of the company’s QuickBooks function
Strong experience in AR, AP, payroll, invoicing, and bookkeeping control
Experience supporting electrical businesses is preferred; candidates with strong bookkeeping or accounting experience in other construction or trade service businesses will also be considered
Strong Excel skills
Strong written and verbal English
Able to work independently and manage deadlines accurately
ADDITIONAL SYSTEMS (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED):
Experience with BuildOps preferred
Exposure to Procore, Oracle Textura, Accubid, or similar construction / contractor platforms is a plus
Experience working across multiple invoicing or billing portals is highly regarded

Customer service or project support experience
Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable work style
