Job Role Summary/Overview

You’ll play a crucial role in supporting a growing company’s financial operations across two subsidiaries, with the opportunity to grow alongside the business as they scale. This position offers the perfect blend of stability and growth potential - starting part-time with a clear path to full-time as operations expand. You’ll work directly with the business owner who values regular communication and building strong working relationships with remote team members. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper looking to become deeply integrated with a US business rather than juggling multiple clients.


Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: USD 6, the equivalent in your local currency
  • Paid Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1 pm to 10 pm, with one hour of unpaid break | CST
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Handle comprehensive bookkeeping for two subsidiaries requiring dedicated financial attention
  • Manage day-to-day financial record keeping, transactions, and account reconciliation
  • Integrate seamlessly with existing financial systems and established workflows
  • Communicate regularly with business owner and US-based team members
  • Support the company’s scaling initiatives through accurate and timely financial management
  • Adapt and grow with expanding financial operations as the business scales
  • Maintain compliance with US business practices and financial regulations
  • Collaborate on financial planning and reporting as the role expands


Requirements

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping for US-based companies and understanding of US business practices
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Excellent English communication skills for regular interaction with the US-based team
  • Previous experience as dedicated outsourced staff (not juggling multiple clients)
  • Ability to work US time zones as needed for communication and collaboration
  • Bonus if you have experience with multi-entity or subsidiary accounting
