This established firm manages over 100 monthly bookkeeping clients and is actively expanding, with plans to double their client base. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio including clients with multiple business entities.


Job Description: You’ll play a crucial role in helping an established accounting firm meet growing demand while maintaining the high standards they’ve built over three decades. This is an opportunity to work independently with a diverse client portfolio, ensuring timely monthly reporting that keeps businesses running smoothly. You’ll have the potential to grow with the firm as they scale to meet increasing market demand.


Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $7.44 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week), Monday to Friday and flexible schedule during client business hours

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor


Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports to meet client deadlines
  • Manage bookkeeping for clients with multiple business entities (some clients have 5+ companies)
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards
  • Support the firm during busy tax season periods
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Communicate directly with business owner regarding client needs and priorities
  • Help the firm scale operations to accommodate growing client demand


Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of bookkeeping experience with proven track record
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (essential)
  • Experience working with US-based companies and understanding of US accounting practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting monthly reporting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle high-volume client portfolio
  • Bonus if you have experience with tax preparation or multi-entity bookkeeping
