Position: Technical Project Manager
Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
Pay Range: $1500 - $1800/mo (Final offer depends on client approval and candidates skills and experience)
Work Location: REMOTE

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of client and internal engineering projects. This role ensures work is delivered on time, aligned with approved scopes, and supported by clear communication across teams and clients.

You’ll facilitate lightweight Agile practices, track project progress and risks, maintain delivery metrics, and serve as the primary point of contact for client status updates. This position is ideal for an organized, proactive coordinator who enjoys bringing structure to fast-paced environments while enabling engineering teams to stay focused on execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Project Management

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of client and internal engineering projects.
  • Track progress against timelines, milestones, and commitments.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and regular status updates.
  • Anticipate risks, issues, and dependencies, and coordinate solutions promptly.
  • Ensure consistent delivery processes across ongoing projects.


Team Facilitation & Agile Support

  • Facilitate daily standups, planning, and reviews.
  • Support lightweight Agile practices appropriate for a small team.
  • Remove impediments and ensure the engineering team can remain focused and productive.
  • Maintain clear communication and alignment across engineering and cross-functional partners.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.


Client Communication & Coordination

  • Act as the primary delivery contact for clients throughout each project.
  • Lead client check-ins and status meetings.
  • Provide clear, timely, and professional communication regarding progress and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.


Billing Awareness & Work Authorization

  • Maintain visibility into what work is billable versus non-billable across active projects.
  • Align project work with approved scopes, invoices, and client payment status.
  • Ensure engineering effort is prioritized based on client authorization and billing readiness, without requiring engineers to track billing details themselves.
  • Coordinate with product and leadership to confirm which projects or tickets are permitted to move forward based on commercial status.
  • Surface risks related to unpaid, out-of-scope, or unapproved work early to support informed prioritization decisions.


Metrics & Reporting

  • Establish and maintain delivery metrics and scorecards—such as throughput, cycle time, work-in-progress, capacity utilization, and other relevant indicators.
  • Connect delivery data with billing and authorization status to improve predictability and prioritization.
  • Generate insights from metrics to support transparency, process improvements, and leadership decision-making.
  • Provide leadership with clear, concise reporting on project, delivery, and prioritization health.


Operational Support

  • Own time-tracking compliance and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Support resource planning and simple capacity forecasting.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new team members regarding delivery tools and processes.
  • Maintain documentation related to workflows, decisions, billing-related constraints, and recurring ceremonies.


Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in Delivery Management, Scrum Mastery, Project Coordination, or similar roles.
  • Experience supporting software development teams in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, resolve issues proactively, and keep teams aligned.
  • Comfortable interacting with clients in a clear, professional manner.
  • Proficient with tools such as Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Asana, or similar systems.
