Systems Engineer (Permanent WFH | 4-Day Work Week | Day Shift)

Location: Remote – Philippines   

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM PH Time | 4-day compressed work week   

Workdays: Thursdays to Sundays  

During the training period, candidates must work during the evening shift.


About the Role 

This role is designed for systems-level IT professionals who have progressed beyond basic helpdesk support and are comfortable troubleshooting across endpoints, cloud services, and core infrastructure in live U.S. client environments. 

As a Systems Engineer at Safari Micro, you will support U.S.-based end users in live production environments. You’ll be expected to think critically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of issues from diagnosis through resolution.  

This is not an entry-level or trainee role. It is best suited for professionals who can explain why they took a particular troubleshooting approach—not just what they did. 

You will work directly with senior U.S. engineers and report to our VP of Technical Services, gaining hands-on exposure to Microsoft cloud, networking, and enterprise IT systems—while working permanently from home on a day shift.

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Provide systems-level technical support via phone and email to U.S.-based end users 
  • Troubleshoot issues across Microsoft environments (Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Azure) 
  • Diagnose and resolve problems involving servers, networks, endpoints, and applications 
  • Go beyond scripted fixes by analyzing ambiguous or incomplete problem statements 
  • Document troubleshooting steps, decisions, and outcomes clearly in ticketing systems (ConnectWise) 
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with structured notes and context 
  • Assist with Azure, Intune, AVD, endpoint management, and backup solutions 
  • Manage multiple tickets and priorities in a deadline-driven MSP environment  


Who We’re Looking For (Non-Negotiables) 

  • Exceptional English communication skills, written and spoken 
    You should be able to explain a technical issue or resolution in 2–3 clear sentences that a U.S. end user can immediately understand. 
  • 4+ years of hands-on IT support experience 
    MSP or enterprise IT experience is strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting: 
    • Windows 10/11 
    • Microsoft 365 
    • Azure or cloud-based services 
    • Remote support tools 
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewall troubleshooting) 
  • Strong sense of ownership: responsive, dependable, and documentation-driven 


This Role Is Likely Not a Fit If You: 

  • Are looking for an entry-level, trainee, or career-switching role 
  • Have limited experience communicating directly with international users 
  • Are uncomfortable working in English for the entire shift 
  • Prefer scripted support with minimal troubleshooting responsibility 

  

Nice to Have 

  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) 
  • Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or Datto 
  • Exposure to Windows Server, SCCM, AVD, or cloud IaaS/PaaS environments 

Note: If your technical foundation is solid and your English communication is strong, we are open to developing deeper technical skills over time.
