Job Description

The Supply Chain Head for the FMCG sector is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role demands strategic vision and operational expertise to manage logistics, warehousing, inventory, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, with a proven track record of driving supply chain improvements and enhancing product delivery times. You will lead a team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring that all supply chain operations align with the company’s business goals and meet customer demand. As a key leader, you will collaborate closely with other departments to forecast demand, manage resources effectively, and respond to market changes promptly.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement, logistics, and distribution functions for maximum efficiency.
  • Lead demand planning and inventory management activities to optimize stock levels.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within supply chain operations.
  • Monitor supply chain KPIs and deliver insightful reports to executive management on performance.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to improve product flow and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies across all supply chain activities.
  • Implement advanced technologies to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain team to achieve operational goals.
  • Resolve unexpected issues and supply chain disruptions in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in supply chain management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in FMCG.
  • Proven leadership skills with capability to manage diverse teams and operations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and supply chain management software tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills essential for data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
