Job Description

The Supply Chain Assistant is a crucial role within the logistics and operations departments, primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will support the management of supply chain processes, assist in coordinating logistics, and help maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. A strong understanding of supply chain management coupled with exceptional organizational skills is essential for success in this role. The position requires collaboration with different departments to ensure continuity and accuracy in order processing, inventory management, and timely delivery of products. Candidates should be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and suggest restocking as necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
  • Ensure accuracy in order processing and maintain correct documentation records.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales teams to streamline supply chain activities.
  • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to orders or shipments promptly.
  • Track shipments and update internal systems to reflect accurate delivery statuses.
  • Analyze supply chain data to make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support in the development and implementation of supply chain policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance and logistics metrics.
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships to ensure service excellence.
  • Contribute to cost-reduction strategies by optimizing supply chain activities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain software tools.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in processes.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments and meet strict deadlines.
