Job Description

The Supply Chain Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of a company's supply chain processes. This position is vital for coordinating with various departments, managing inventory, and ensuring that the supply chain functions seamlessly. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of logistics operations and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated regularly.
  • Support the purchasing department in sourcing and procuring supplies as needed.
  • Analyze supply chain performance and generate reports for management review.
  • Communicate with suppliers to manage orders, returns, and discrepancies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and assist in evaluating supplier relationships.
  • Participate in supply chain optimization projects to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle data entry tasks related to supply chain transactions and documentation.
  • Assist in coordinating import and export processes, including compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing supply chain strategy discussions.
  • Maintain organized files of all supply chain-related documents and correspondences.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the supply chain department's goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics role is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for supplier interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis tasks.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management software systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
