We build high-performing remote engineering teams across Web, Mobile, Cloud, AI/ML, and DevOps — serving clients across the US, Europe, and beyond.
As we expand our footprint in the APAC market, we are looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager who comes from — or has sold deeply into — the Fintech, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Healthcare sectors in APAC. You know how technology buyers in regulated industries think, what they need, and how to earn their trust.
This is not a traditional employment role. We are looking for a partner — someone who wants to leverage their existing APAC network and sector expertise to generate commercial outcomes on their own terms, with meaningful financial upside and the freedom to operate flexibly alongside their current work.
You will work directly with the founders, operate with high autonomy, and have a real seat at the table as we build our go-to-market motion across the APAC region.
Responsibilities
Own the full partnership cycle — from prospecting and pipeline generation to proposal, negotiation, and agreement close — targeting technology buyers within APACs financial services and healthcare sectors
Identify and qualify new business opportunities with organisations undergoing digital transformation, platform modernisation, or AI and cloud adoption initiatives
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through your existing network, outbound outreach, referrals, and industry events
Develop tailored value propositions and proposals that connect client needs with Plus8Softs remote engineering capabilities
Collaborate closely with the delivery and technical teams to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term client satisfaction once a partnership is established
Represent Plus8Soft across APAC — attend relevant virtual and in-person industry events, build a local network of decision-makers and technology leaders
Provide market intelligence and feedback to the founding team to inform positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for the APAC corridor
Track and report on partnership activity, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts
Requirements
5+ years in a commercial role — business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales — within or selling into Fintech, Banking, Insurance, or Healthcare organisations
Demonstrated track record of engaging and closing technology buyers in regulated industries — you understand how procurement works in financial services and healthcare environments
An existing network of technology decision-makers across APAC — CTOs, Heads of Engineering, VPs of Technology, or Procurement leads — who know and trust you
Fluent English — written and spoken — you can run senior-level discovery calls, write compelling proposals, and negotiate agreements entirely without support
Strong enough understanding of software development and engineering delivery to hold a credible conversation with a technical buyer
Self-starter mindset — you are comfortable building your own pipeline without a large sales infrastructure behind you
Nice to have:
Prior exposure to IT outsourcing, engineering augmentation, or dedicated remote team models — you can explain the value to a sceptical buyer
Experience navigating procurement or vendor approval processes within large regulated organisations
Familiarity with digital transformation, cloud, or AI initiatives as a commercial context for technology investment conversations
Comfort with remote-first work culture and distributed team dynamics
