About the Role

Were seeking a talented Software Engineer in Test (SEIT) to join our engineering team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Youll design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks while working closely with development teams to ship high-quality software faster. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong software engineering skills with a passion for quality and a deep understanding of modern testing practices. The candidate requires to work EST hours.

What You Will Do

Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium
• Write comprehensive automated tests covering UI, API, integration, and end-to-end scenarios
• Implement and optimize test suites for speed, reliability, and maintainability
• Reduce test flakiness and improve overall test suite stability
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing

Quality Strategy & Process

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to understand features and define test strategies
• Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively expand automation
• Champion quality best practices across engineering teams
• Participate in code reviews for both production and test code
• Contribute to improving development processes and quality standards

Test Management & Reporting

• Manage test cases, execution, and reporting using Qase and JIRA
• Create comprehensive test plans and maintain test documentation
• Track and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and defect trends
• Triage bugs, document reproduction steps, and work with developers on resolution
• Provide clear visibility into testing status and release readiness

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner with developers to implement testability improvements in production code
• Mentor team members on testing best practices and automation techniques
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging testing technologies
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes and tooling

What Were Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright and Selenium for UI test automation
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Proven experience with test management tools like Qase and defect tracking in JIRA
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration, E2E)
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
• Experience testing and validating AI results
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of accessibility testing (WCAG standards)
• Background in security testing fundamentals
• Experience with visual regression testing tools
• Contributions to open-source testing projects
