About the Job:

Join our growing Zone team in the Philippines and help ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of SuiteApps built on NetSuite. As a Software Engineer in Test (SET), youll play a foundational role in formalizing our QA practice and improving software quality. You will be deeply involved in automated testing efforts and some manual testing as needed, and help establish scalable processes that improve test coverage and reduce escaped bugs across our product suite. 

You’ll be part of a small, focused team with high visibility and the opportunity to shape how QA is executed within the broader engineering organization. Your work will directly impact thousands of customers who rely on ZoneCapture to streamline accounts payable and financial operations. What Youll Do: 

General Responsibilities 

● Establish and maintain Software Quality Assurance practices across our SuiteApps (e.g., ZoneCapture, Zone Approvals) 

● Design, implement, and execute test plans using Cypress.io (or similar) and manage test artifacts in Qase 

● Collaborate on test case creation, coverage, and execution throughout the sprint lifecycle 

● Whenever needed at the direction of the Manager, partner with Product Owners to scrub issues, triage defects, and verify reported bugs and bug fixes 

● Maintain and expand automated regression test suites 

● Be accountable for Release Sign-Offand ensure readiness for production deployment 

Sprint Responsibilities 

● Be accountable and responsible for all automated and some manual testing activities during the sprint, ensuring quality at each stage of development 

● Coordinate with QA analysts on tests cases to automate in upcoming sprints 

● Maintain Cypress.io test coverage, automate test cases, and manage the Qase test repository 

● Coordinate testing cycles with other QA team members and notify Product Owners at sprint end 

Impact to Current Workflows 

● Reduce reliance on Product Owners and QA for manual regression testing. 

● Enable Product Owners to focus on smoke testing during UAT 

● Help introduce a formal Escaped Bugs metric to reduce bugs found in UAT and production 

● Elevate software quality through dedicated QA ownership embedded in the sprint cycle 

Collaboration and Process 

● Work closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify acceptance criteria 

● Log, prioritize, and track issues using Jira; document knowledge and processes in Confluence 

● Participate in sprint ceremonies and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement 

Business and Technical Domain 

● Understand business workflows within NetSuite, particularly around accounts payable, finance, and accounting 

● Gain product familiarity through live demos, documentation, and hands-on experimentation 

● Support cross-regional QA standardization as part of a global initiative 

What Youll Bring:

● 3–5 years of experience in software QA or Software Engineering in Test (SET), ideally in a SaaS environment 

● Strong experience with Cypress.io (or similar) test automation frameworks 

● Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and core object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, SQL, frontend frameworks like React could make you stand out. 

● Strong experience with NetSuite and finance-related business processes 

● Deep business domain knowledge of billing and revenue or a strong interest in learning the domain or experience in Fintech. We believe the most successful engineers not only have strong technical acumen but also an understanding of business domains and an eye for user experience. 

● Proficiency with test case management systems like Qase 

● Comfortable executing both manual and automated tests 

● Solid engineering skills including debugging, root cause analysis, and defect isolation 

● Excellent bug reporting, verification, and documentation skills 

● Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in distributed teams 

● Familiarity with modern development tools: Git, CI/CD, Jira, Confluence 

● Experience working in Scrum teams is a plus 

● Background working with ERP, HRIS, Payroll, Finance, or CRM systems is highly desirable 

● Entrepreneurial mindset—proactive, curious, and ready to learn 

● Fluent in English, both written and spoken
