Social Media Specialist Podcast

Job Description:

You’ll play a crucial role in transforming compelling long-form podcast content into engaging social media assets while managing the complete digital presence across multiple platforms. This is your opportunity to work directly with a passionate content creator in a fast-paced environment where your creativity and technical expertise will directly impact audience growth and engagement. You’ll have the autonomy to make creative decisions while working with established systems and premium tools.

Job Highlights:

• Hourly Rate: USD 7.30, the equivalent in your local currency
• Paid Hours per Week: 20
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday-Friday 12 pm-5 pm Eastern Standard Time (No need for Tuesday)
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities:

• Edit podcast episodes (60-90 minutes) with first draft completion within one day
• Upload final content to Buzzsprout for distribution across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other platforms
• Generate and edit short-form video content using Opus Clip software for social media distribution
• Manage social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms
• Handle social media posting, engagement, and community management
• Organize and save all content assets in Dropbox following established workflows
• Communicate directly with the host regarding task completion and daily availability
• Work within proven systems where content is uploaded to Dropbox the day after recording

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in both social media management and video/audio editing
• Proficiency in podcast editing software and social media management tools
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content for social platforms
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Buzzsprout, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and podcast distribution platforms
• Bonus if you have experience with Opus Clip or similar AI-powered editing tools
• It helps if you’re comfortable with direct communication via Zoom screen sharing
