As the Marketing Specialist, you will take full ownership of the marketing engine that fuels this thriving photography business. While the owner focuses on delivering exceptional client experiences, you’ll build and optimize the digital presence that attracts dream clients. This role combines creative marketing, technical SEO, and content strategy within the beautiful and dynamic photography industry. You’ll enjoy flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a direct impact in a rapidly scaling business.

Job Highlights

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of $7.72 USD per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Schedule: 20 hours, with potential to scale during peak booking season - 8:00 PM–12:00 MN MST

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the Pinterest account, including content scheduling and strategic pinning
• Execute SEO initiatives, including backlink campaigns and Google Search Console optimization
• Create and publish engaging blog posts that highlight the business’s stunning work
• Maintain and update website content on the Showit platform with WordPress integration
• Optimize on-page SEO elements, including alt text for photography galleries
• Support marketing campaigns that drive bookings during peak wedding and elopement seasons
• Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to continuously improve performance
• Collaborate on content strategy that showcases the dual-brand photography offerings

Requirements

• Proven experience with Pinterest management and social media scheduling platforms
• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, including backlinking and Google Search Console
• Familiarity with Showit and WordPress for website management (or any similar website)
• Strong content writing skills for blogs and marketing copy
• Understanding of photography or creative industry marketing trends
• Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision
• Bonus: Experience in wedding or elopement photography marketing
• Preferred: Familiarity with Canadian market dynamics and seasonal booking cycles
