Job Description

A Snapshot of WFS Group:

WFS is a high performance RevOps agency that installs and deploys enterprise-grade, AI-driven revenue engines and selling systems for our clients. Think of a lead generation based marketing agency…. But focused on sales 🤪Put simply, our clients outsource their sales department to us and we sell their services to help them scale faster than ever before while changing as many people’s lives as possible. We architect entire end-to-end sales solutions by designing custom sales motions, integrating battle-tested systems, developing go to market strategies powered by our proprietary playbooks, and then hiring, training, and managing a highly trained on demand sales force to deploy faster and more predictable revenue engines. The current verticals we serve are the alternative education space that sell transformative programs including everything from business consulting programs, to programs that teach people how to invest in real estate, learn mergers and acquisitions and many many more, along with the software as a service (SaaS) vertical, bringing cutting edge technology products to market. In short, we’re a full-stack RevOps implementation partner that installs full cycle turnkey selling systems for our clients.

Position Overview

This role is not for a traditional video editor.

The Social Media Manager / Video Editor at WFS is a hybrid creative-growth role responsible for creating viral, trend-aware, platform-native social content that actively grows accounts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube (long-form).

Yes! You’ll edit videos.

But more importantly, you’ll understand how content wins on social.

That means knowing:

  • What hooks stop the scroll
  • Why certain formats outperform others
  • How trends, audio, captions, pacing, and posting styles impact reach
  • How to adapt long-form content into short-form assets that actually convert

You will be expected to think like a creator and strategist, not just a technician. If you’re the kind of person who studies viral formats, reverse-engineers high-performing posts, and gets excited about beating the algorithm, then this role was built for you.

Bonuses are directly tied to account growth and performance, so your upside scales with your impact.

You SHOULD apply to this role if…

  • You deeply understand Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube long-form
  • You know the difference between editing a video and editing for virality
  • You actively follow trends, formats, posting styles, and creator strategies
  • You understand how hooks, pacing, captions, jump cuts, and pattern interrupts drive retention
  • You can confidently edit both short-form and long-form, and know how to repurpose one into the other
  • You think in terms of growth, reach, watch time, and engagement
  • You are proficient in Adobe Suite / Premiere Pro (preferred), but are open and adaptable to other social-first editing tools
  • You enjoy testing content, reviewing performance, and iterating fast
  • You want your work to directly grow accounts, not just fill a content calendar

You SHOULD NOT apply to this role if…

  • You only know “basic” video editing and have no interest in social strategy
  • You don’t keep up with trends, formats, or platform behavior
  • You prefer slow timelines and minimal feedback
  • You take performance feedback personally instead of analytically
  • You want clear instructions for every edit rather than creative ownership
  • You are uncomfortable being accountable to growth metrics
  • You think “the algorithm is random” (it’s not)
  • You eat your pizza with ranch (this continues to be a concern)

Major Roles & Responsibilities

  • Create and edit short-form viral content for:
    • Instagram Reels
    • TikTok
    • YouTube Shorts
  • Edit long-form YouTube content with strong pacing, storytelling, and retention strategy
  • Repurpose long-form content into high-performing short-form clips
  • Apply trend-aware editing styles, captions, formats, and posting strategies
  • Add captions, b-roll, sound effects, pattern interrupts, and light motion graphics where appropriate
  • Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and sales teams on content direction
  • Organize and manage content files and publishing workflows
  • Iterate quickly based on performance data and feedback
  • Stay up to date on platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging formats
  • Actively contribute ideas for content angles, hooks, and creative direction
  • Support brand growth through consistent, on-brand, high-performing content

Compensation

  • $6–$8/hour
  • Performance-based bonuses tied directly to social account growth and results

What Success Looks Like

  • Social accounts show measurable growth in reach, engagement, and followers
  • Content consistently aligns with current platform trends and formats
  • Short-form videos demonstrate strong hooks and retention
  • Long-form content is edited for watch time, not just cleanliness
  • Stakeholders trust you to own social content execution end-to-end
  • Your work compounds - today’s content fuels tomorrow’s growth

If you’re excited by the idea of building viral content engines, not just editing clips, this role is your runway.

Let’s grow some accounts. 🚀📲
