Overview

We are looking for a skilled and creative Social Media Manager to support the growth of our client’s digital presence. This role involves creating engaging content, managing multiple social media platforms, and implementing strategies to drive audience growth and lead generation. You will work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and collaborate with the client for content approvals and performance updates. This is a long-term, remote opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, digital-focused environment.


Job Highlights

  • Monthly Rate: USD 766
  • Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST
  • Work Arrangement: Work from Home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor
  • Side Note: This is a permanent work-from-home position. As an Independent Contractor, you must use your own computer and internet connection and handle your own taxes and benefits. Professional fees are on an hourly rate depending on your performance during the application process.


Responsibilities

Content Creation & Management

  • Produce original content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Create videos, graphics, and educational posts.
  • Develop short-form video content even when the client prefers not to appear on camera.
  • Convert financial and insurance topics into simple, engaging content.
  • Ensure consistent branding and compliant messaging.

Social Media Strategy & Growth

  • Build and optimize social media profiles with limited or no initial content.
  • Implement organic strategies to drive reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Develop weekly and monthly content calendars.
  • Post regularly and adjust based on insights.

Audience Engagement & Lead Support

  • Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries.
  • Use content to attract:
  • Individuals looking for financial or insurance solutions
  • Individuals interested in becoming agents
  • Support light lead-generation activities.

Brand Positioning & Messaging

  • Help refine brand positioning in the insurance and financial sector.
  • Suggest content themes and creative angles.

Account Access, Setup & Compliance

  • Assist with centralizing and managing login access.
  • Troubleshoot account access and admin issues.
  • Ensure all content remains under client ownership.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate with the client for content approvals.
  • Participate in planning calls and training sessions.
  • Provide daily or weekly performance and task reports.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Adjust content strategies to optimize performance.


Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 3–5+ years of social media management and content creation experience.
  • Strong short-form video and static content production skills.
  • Knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube best practices.
  • Experience building content strategies and pipelines from scratch.

Creative & Communication Skills

  • Ability to create compelling content without relying on the client being on camera.
  • Strong copywriting skills for hooks, captions, and storytelling.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar).
  • Ability to source on-camera talent when needed.

Industry Knowledge

  • Background or willingness to learn insurance, annuities, and other financial products.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for social audiences.

  • Full-time availability.
  • Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and accepting feedback.

Tools & Systems

  • Experience with social media scheduling tools and analytics dashboards.
  • Ability to prepare detailed weekly reports.
