Job Description

An Occupational Therapist (OT) plays a critical role in the healthcare field, offering essential therapeutic support to individuals facing physical, mental, or emotional challenges. At 18N25, we specialize in providing therapeutic services to enhance the independence and quality of life for our clients. Our Occupational Therapists are dedicated professionals who collaborate with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans aiming to restore and enhance functional abilities. By evaluating each patient’s needs, capabilities, and desires, our OTs implement interventions that promote health, prevent further disabilities, and improve daily living activities. We are looking for passionate Occupational Therapists who thrive in diverse environments and are adept at adapting their strategies to meet the unique needs of each client.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client needs and occupational challenges.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific client requirements and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance fine and gross motor skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care solutions.
  • Educate clients and their families about adaptive techniques and equipment use.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans to reflect changing needs and abilities.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely.
  • Guide clients in activities designed to improve daily living skills and independence.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment for all clients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and therapeutic techniques through continuous learning.
  • Liaise with external agencies to coordinate client care and community resources.
  • Participate in client care meetings for comprehensive care planning and review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must hold a valid license as an Occupational Therapist .
  • Minimum of two years of experience in occupational therapy practice is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and families.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to therapy challenges.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and standard documentation practices.
