Social Media Content Moderator

Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Social Media Content Moderators to support a growing financial education company focused on creating safe, positive online communities. This role plays a key part in protecting educational content across YouTube, Reddit, and Discord while supporting a 24/7 moderation operation that ensures consistent community standards and uninterrupted coverage.

Job Highlights

Monthly Rate: USD 1000

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: Full-time (40 hours)

Schedule:

24/7 coverage model with rotating shifts (Central Time – Austin, Texas)

• Agent 1: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM CT
• Agent 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM CT
• Agent 3:
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM CT
• Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM CT
• Agent 4: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM CT

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note:

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an Independent Contractor, the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and moderate YouTube comments during critical upload windows (Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10:00 AM CT)
• Review and moderate discussions across Reddit and Discord communities based on established guidelines
• Identify and remove inappropriate content, spam, bot activity, and comments violating community standards
• Provide real-time moderation coverage during new content launches
• Follow detailed SOPs to ensure consistent moderation quality
• Collaborate with team members using Slack and other communication tools
• Maintain reliable shift coverage as part of a 24/7 moderation team
• Cross-train to assist with app support during low moderation volume periods

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn and use YouTube Studio and other platform moderation tools
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing user-generated content
• Experience following structured procedures and guidelines
• Reliable internet connection and strong commitment to scheduled shifts
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with a remote team
• No financial background required; full training provided
