About the role

We’re hiring a Short-Form Video Editor to join our Instagram Marketing Team. You will deliver up to 3 videos daily and work directly with the Instagram manager and CEO. You must be an individual editor, not an agency owner or any sort of intermediary.

What you’ll do

• Edit long-form video content into high-performing Instagram Reels
• Create and refine vertical video edits designed specifically for Instagram-first distribution
• Add motion graphics, kinetic typography, and dynamic visual elements to enhance storytelling
• Optimize hooks, pacing, captions, and visual rhythm to maximize engagement and retention on Instagram

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in editing short-form content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
• Strong skills in motion graphics and kinetic text animation
• Deep understanding of Instagram retention mechanics, including attention grabing hook, pacing, and pattern interrupts
• Strong English communication and writing skills
• Strong ability to consistently replicate an established editing style and quality standard

Compensation:

• For the more advanced format — $25 per 30 seconds (so a 1-minute video would be $50).
• For the simpler format (basic cuts with subtitles) — $12.50 per 30 seconds (so a 1-minute video would be $25).
• Anything longer than 30 seconds is charged at the per-minute rate ($50 or $25, depending on the format).

• Availability: up to 3 videos (advanced)/day + correction for previous videos = ~ 20–40 hours/week
• Contract Type: Service Contractor
• Paymnet: once a week through invoice
