Job Role Summary/Overview

You’ll be the key technical partner for a new women’s fashion brand, building their entire Shopify website from scratch and creating a beautiful, functional shopping experience for their customers. Working directly with the founder, you’ll bring their vision to life through custom development and then provide ongoing support as the business scales. This role offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and technical challenge, with the opportunity to shape a brand’s digital presence from day one.

• Hourly Rate: USD 9, the equivalent in your local currency

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Build a complete Shopify e-commerce website from scratch for a women’s clothing brand
• Implement custom coding within Shopify to achieve desired website appearance and functionality
• Collaborate directly with the business owner to understand requirements and implement changes
• Perform ongoing website maintenance and updates after February 2026 launch
• Make modifications and improvements to the website as business needs evolve
• Ensure optimal user experience and website performance for fashion e-commerce
• Manage complete website functionality from conception to completion
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for e-commerce best practices

Requirements

• You bring 3+ years of web development experience with strong Shopify expertise.
• Proficiency in e-commerce website development and basic coding skills for Shopify customization (HTML, CSS, Liquid templating) are essential.
• You can work independently and manage projects from start to finish. Bonus if you have experience with fashion or clothing e-commerce sites.
• It helps if you’re comfortable with direct client collaboration and can communicate technical concepts clearly.
