Shopify IT Support Specialist

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Shopify IT Support Specialist to serve as the technical backbone for a growing wholesale clothing manufacturer. This role is focused on solving complex B2B challenges, specifically regarding pricing visibility, seasonal collection transitions, and backend system stability.

Client Overview

An international wholesale fashion brand that designs and sources clothing for retail stores nationwide. They operate a B2B-focused Shopify platform and manage high-volume seasonal inventory. The business values long-term technical solutions over "quick fixes" and is looking for a specialist to help them navigate potential business model expansions.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 1 PM CST (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Pricing & Indexing: Resolve persistent Shopify and Google pricing display issues to ensure wholesale pricing is correctly shielded or displayed in public search results.
• Seasonal Transitions: Manage the technical side of product uploads and website transitions between major seasonal collections (e.g., Fall to Spring).
• Backend Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix system errors that occur during the modification of product images, pricing, categories, or seasonal tags.
• B2B Portal Management: Assist with customer login issues and access management for the wholesale portal to maintain seamless retail partner relationships.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure that all website modifications and app integrations do not disrupt existing functionality or create new technical debt.
• Collaborative Support: Work alongside internal teams handling photography and product data to ensure the digital catalog remains accurate and high-performing.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Shopify platform administration and customization.
• Deep understanding of B2B wholesale e-commerce best practices.
• Proven experience resolving SEO and Google indexing issues, particularly regarding pricing visibility.
• Web development skills for backend troubleshooting and product catalog management.

Qualifications

• Experience managing seasonal inventory transitions in a fashion environment (Highly Regarded).
• Background in wholesale-to-retail platform conversions (Preferred).
• Experience managing complex, tiered pricing structures within Shopify (Preferred).
• Familiarity with Shopify Flow or similar automation tools to streamline catalog updates.

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
