Shopify Administrator

The Senior Shopify Administrator is a technical e-commerce expert responsible for managing and optimising the company’s Shopify Plus ecosystem. This role oversees store configuration, integrations, theme optimisation, custom automation, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has strong Shopify expertise, solid front-end development skills, and the ability to architect scalable e-commerce solutions that support business growth.

1. Overall Store Administration and Management

• Own the full administration of the Shopify store.
• Optimise site structure, navigation, product taxonomy, and custom templates.
• Implement product configurations (bundles, custom options, dynamic content).

2. Theme Development & Customisation

• Conduct technical theme updates and fixes using Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
• Optimise site performance (Core Web Vitals, JavaScript minimisation, theme clean-up).

3. Integrations, APIs & Automation

• Manage, optimise, and troubleshoot integrations with ERP, CRM, WMS, POS, marketing platforms, and 3rd-party apps.
• Build or maintain automation using:
• Shopify Flow
• Custom scripts
• Webhooks
• API connections
• Work with API endpoints to send/receive data from external systems.

4. Data Management & Technical Operations

• Maintain product data at scale using CSV imports and bulk editing tools
• Oversee inventory sync, order routing, and complex fulfillment logic.
• Ensure data integrity across Shopify and connected systems.

5. Security, Compliance & Access Control

• Manage roles, permissions, and auditing
• Implement security best practices, backup strategies, and change-control processes.

6. Site Reliability, Quality Assurance & Issue Resolution

• Lead the troubleshooting of major issues affecting checkout, cart performance, or integrations.
• Perform Quality Assurance testing for theme changes, app updates, and new feature deployments.
• Monitor uptime, errors, and performance metrics via analytics tools.

7. Analytics & Technical Insights

• Configure and maintain:
• Google Analytics
• Google Tag Manager
• Meta Pixel / TikTok Pixel
• Server-side tracking (if applicable)
• Analyse site performance, funnel behaviour, and conversion issues.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for optimisation.

This is a remote role & applicants will need to be based in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be contracted with Crafty Simon Inc., our Philippine-based entity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and customising Shopify Plus.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and theme structures.
• Experience with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and Flow automations.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, integrations, and data flows.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
• Experience with version control (Git) and working in staging/production environments.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in conversion tracking and attribution tools.
• Excellent documentation and process-building skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with headless Shopify, Hydrogen, or custom frontend frameworks.
• Experience with ERP/WMS integrations (ie Unleash).
• Familiarity with performance optimisation techniques and CDN usage.
• Understanding of SEO, schema markup, and technical SEO best practices.
