The Senior Technical consultant is a role within the Dayforce organization, focused on consulting on designing, implementing and supporting system integration between Dayforce HCM and other enterprises application using Dayforce APIs (RESTful, SOAP) and Dayforce internal Import/Export tools. You will work closely with clients, implementation consultants, and internal teams to design technical specification, build the Integration, identify integration issues and provide guidance on best practices.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Manage multiple project priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Actively manage service delivery, including communication with internal and external stakeholders, and escalation of risks or issues where appropriate.
- Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner, managing and escalating client issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to capture business and technical requirements for Dayforce integrations
- Build strong client relationships, be accessible, and maintain regular communication to ensure satisfaction.
- Design, develop, and configure integration solutions leveraging Dayforce APIs, file-based interfaces, and middleware tools.
- Work directly with third-party vendors when needed to deliver complete solutions to clients.
- Transform customer data into Dayforce HCM-specific formats for integration purposes.
- Provide technical consulting services based on client business needs.
- Proactively propose solutions and respond to client requests by analyzing and resolving integration issues.
- Conduct end-to-end unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing for integrations.
- Document integration specifications, process flows, and support guides.
- Build good client relationships, be accessible and communicate regularly.
- Partner with project managers to ensure deliverables meet scope, timeline, and quality standards.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Dayforce platform by self-learning.
- Maintain and enhance application knowledge by attending formal training, and/or self-paced materials.
Skills And Experience We Value
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering plus 5-10 years related experience.
- This is a customer facing role, it is imperative you have great written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical experience in a technical consulting role particularly within SaaS Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, OData, XML, XSLT.
- Strong SQL/database skills for data validation and troubleshooting, Reporting experience with programming ability.
- Familiarity with Dayforce data domains (HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance).
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of the Dayforce HCM data structure and the underling functions of Dayforce applications as they relate to the data within the database preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, creative and critical thinking with the ability to make decisions on the job to achieve project outcomes.
- Experience in fast-paced consulting or implementation projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical, effective solutions.
- Self-driven individual who is passionate about learning new cloud technologies.
