ServiceNow Portal Developer

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Portal Developer to support a project within the investment and banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in ServiceNow development, with a focus on building and customizing Service Portals and UI experiences. This role requires both technical expertise and a strong understanding of how to deliver user-centric, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow Service Portals, widgets, and UI pages using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and the ServiceNow API.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective portal designs and workflows.
• Develop and maintain front-end components integrated with ServiceNow back-end data and processes.
• Ensure portal performance, accessibility, and security standards are met in line with banking/investment sector compliance.
• Implement best practices in ServiceNow development, versioning, and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to portal functionality and integrations.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and documentation activities to support production readiness.
• Work closely with ServiceNow platform architects and administrators to ensure design consistency and maintainability.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, including at least 3 years focused on Service Portal development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Experience with UI policies, client/server scripts, Glide APIs, and custom widgets.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, or CSM is a plus.
• Experience working in financial services or banking environments is highly desirable.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience integrating ServiceNow portals with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and responsive web design.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
