Job Role Summary/Overview

The client is seeking a fast, reliable, and highly organized SEO Content Producer to support their rapidly growing digital media brand. This role focuses on producing and publishing search-optimized lifestyle articles, creating templated social news posts, writing weekly green screen video scripts for the Founder, and scheduling content across our national city social pages using HeyOrca. All written content will be created under a designated brand byline or Founder representation provided by the company. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a structured, high-output environment.

Job Highlights

• Hourly Rate: USD 9, the equivalent in your local currency
• Paid Hours per Week: 20 hours
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day | Calgary, Alberta, Canada (MST)
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

Content & Articles

● Write 5 SEO-optimized articles per day, 5 days per week (25 per week total)

● All articles will be ghostwritten under a company-assigned brand byline or Founder

representation

● Produce content focused on:

• Date night ideas
• Restaurants & cafes
• Events & activities
• City-based lifestyle guides across Canada

● Conduct basic keyword research when required

● Ensure all content is original, accurate, and plagiarism-free

WordPress Publishing

● Publish all articles directly into WordPress, including:

• Proper formatting
• Headings (H1, H2, H3)
• Internal links
• Meta descriptions
• Feature images (from provided sources or stock libraries)
• Follow detailed SEO briefs, templates, and formatting guidelines

Social News Posts & Scheduling (HeyOrca)

● Create templated social article posts for each article to drive traffic back to the website

● Schedule posts using HeyOrca across multiple city-based social accounts nationwide

following provided calendars

● Confirm correct:

• City tagging
• Links
• Hashtags
• Posting times

● Send scheduled content to the Founder for final approval prior to publishing

Green Screen Video Scripts (Founder Content)

● Write 5 green screen video scripts per week on behalf of the Founder

● Topics include:

• Date night ideas in Canadian cities
• Event highlights (e.g., Calgary Stampede, major festivals)
• “Top 5” restaurant and experience lists

● Scripts will typically align with articles being written

● Source and suggest background photos or b-roll video concepts to be used behind

the green screen

● Coordinate with the video editor after the Founder filming to ensure correct assets and

context

● Ensure final videos are scheduled in HeyOrca and sent for Founder approval before

posting

Workflow & Quality Control

● Submit all work daily, on time, without exception

● Implement feedback quickly and consistently

● Maintain strict quality control across articles, scripts, and scheduled social posts

Requirements

● Strong written English with excellent grammar and clarity

● Proven ability to write SEO-focused content consistently at scale

● Experience with ghostwriting or brand-voice writing

● Hands-on experience with WordPress publishing

● Experience using social scheduling tools

● Understanding of:

• Keyword placement
• On-page SEO structure
• Meta descriptions
• Internal linking

● Ability to follow templates and instructions with high precision

● Excellent time management, organization, and reliability

● Comfortable working under strict daily production targets

● Familiarity with short-form video scripting is a strong asset

Performance Expectations

● Consistent delivery of 5 fully published WordPress articles per day

● Creation of 5 corresponding social news posts per day

● 5 green screen video scripts completed per week

● Accurate scheduling across multiple city accounts in HeyOrca

● Minimal revisions required after training period

● Strong adherence to SEO, formatting, and brand tone standards
