We are looking for an experienced and highly proactive SEO Specialist / Strategist to lead and execute long-term SEO growth strategy for our Australia-based client in the renewable energy and electrification industry.
This role is suited for someone who can work autonomously, think strategically, and independently drive measurable SEO improvements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving search rankings, strengthening backlink authority, increasing organic visibility, and continuously identifying opportunities to grow our client’s online presence in competitive markets.
Work Schedule
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain availability during core Australian business hours, approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the client.

This is a remote independent contractor role, and applicants will need to be based in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be contracted with Crafty Simon Inc., our Philippine-based entity.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals
Improve organic search rankings and website visibility
Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits
Develop and execute backlink generation and authority-building strategies
Monitor and improve domain authority and backlink profile quality
Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, headings, and page structure for SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)
Perform technical SEO reviews and recommend improvements
Monitor website performance, indexing, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals
Use SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ubersuggest, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and similar platforms
Utilise AI-assisted tools and workflows to support SEO research, content optimization, and process efficiency
Prepare SEO performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations
Perform minor Webflow updates including content uploads, page edits, and creation of pages using existing templates
Coordinate with external developers for advanced website changes when required
Continuously monitor SEO, AEO, GEO, AI search trends, Google algorithm updates, and opportunities for growth
Develop content and optimisation strategies designed to improve visibility across traditional search engines, AI-generated search experiences, and answer-based search platforms
Work autonomously and proactively recommend SEO improvements and strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong understanding of Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO, Content SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)
Proven experience in backlink generation and SEO growth strategies
Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ubersuggest, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
Experience with AI-assisted SEO and content optimization workflows
Familiarity with Webflow for minor website content management and page editing
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities autonomously in a remote setting
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Business, or a related field from an English medium school is preferred
5 or more years of experience in SEO or digital marketing
Experience working with Australian businesses or international clients is highly preferred
Must be able to provide portfolio examples, case studies, or evidence of measurable SEO results achieved for previous clients or employers
Understanding of AI-powered search experienced, features snippets, semantic search, and content optimisation for generative AI platforms is highly preferred
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience working with B2B, consultancy, engineering, industrial, or professional services businesses
Experience using Webflow or similar CMS platforms
Experience with conversion optimisation (CRO) strategies
Understanding of website structure, HTML, and SEO best practices
Experience collaborating with developers, designers, and content teams
Familiarity with evolving AI search platforms and modern search optimisation practices beyond traditional SEO
