As a Manual QA Tester, you will ensure the quality of our web platform by identifying bugs, supporting engineering teams, and improving user experience. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of our tax automation services.

Job Highlights

• Monthly Rate: Equivalent of USD 1200/month in the applicants local currency
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm UK Time (4:00 pm – 12:00 am Manila Time) with a 30-minute paid break
• Work Arrangement: Work from home

Responsibilities

• Perform manual quality assurance tests on our web platform
• Generate bug reports for the engineering teams
• Support the engineering team for the reproduction of bugs you’ve found
• Update the team on the progress of testing and QA activities and challenges
• Ensure the best quality of tax automation & optimization services
• Identify quality issues and see them through to resolution
• Consider everything from user experience, happy paths, negative testing, edge cases, browser compatibility, etc.
• Be available within core UK/Europe business hours to liaise with the R&D team

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in manual web testing
• University degree or comparable professional qualification in Computer Science / IT / Software Testing
• Working understanding of REST APIs and how to test them
• Experience in designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases
• Clear reporting skills
• A rounded knowledge of software testing best practices and applying them in CI/CD
• Strong understanding of usability and user experience principles
• Full professional English proficiency (spoken and written)

Side note:

Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional pay rate is based on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
