Position : Senior Cloud Security Support Engineer

Working Schedule : 6pm -3am EST

Salary Range :$1300-$1500 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidates level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Security Support Engineer with strong experience in Azure and Microsoft 365 security. This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, identity protection, and safeguarding our Microsoft cloud tenants through Conditional Access, MFA, and policy enforcement.

You’ll handle escalated issues, lead root cause investigations, and help strengthen our Azure and Microsoft 365 environments against emerging threats.

What You’ll Do

Microsoft 365 Administration & Security

• Provide advanced support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Manage and secure user accounts, permissions, and licenses through M365 and Exchange Admin Centers.
• Configure and maintain Conditional Access, MFA, and security baselines to protect users and corporate data.
• Investigate mailflow, authentication, and integration issues across the tenant.
• Implement and support DLP, Safe Links, and Safe Attachments policies.

Azure Active Directory / Entra ID (Identity & Access Management)

• Troubleshoot complex authentication and synchronization issues with Azure AD Connect and Entra ID.
• Manage RBAC, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and access reviews for privileged accounts.
• Develop and refine Conditional Access policies balancing security and user experience.
• Monitor sign-in activity, analyze risk alerts, and respond to suspicious access patterns.

Azure Infrastructure & Security Monitoring

• Provide escalation-level support for Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, networking, and storage.
• Monitor and remediate findings from Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Secure Score.
• Enforce NSG, firewall, and VPN configurations for secure connectivity.
• Ensure backup, encryption, and recovery solutions are in place and compliant.

Tenant Protection & Compliance

• Evaluate and improve tenant posture using Microsoft Secure Score and Defender for Cloud recommendations.
• Partner with IT and security teams to align with compliance frameworks such as CIS, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Help implement automation and alerting to enhance threat visibility and response.

Service Desk & Knowledge Management

• Document complex resolutions, security best practices, and technical playbooks.
• Lead incident response efforts involving Azure or M365 services.
• Collaborate with vendors and Microsoft support for high-priority escalations.

Required Experience

• Experience: 3+ years in technical support, cloud administration, or IT security (with at least 2 years in Azure/M365).
• Security Skills: Hands-on experience with Conditional Access, MFA, Entra ID, and Azure tenant hardening.
• M365 Expertise: Strong understanding of compliance, retention, and protection features.
• Identity & Access: Deep knowledge of RBAC, PIM, and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, Kerberos).
• Networking: Working knowledge of DNS, VPN, and Azure network security principles.
• Mindset: Analytical, security-first approach with strong documentation and mentoring skills.
