Overview

Lead complex accounting remediation and financial reconstruction projects for a well-established firm with 30 years of success. This role combines expert-level cleanup work with long-term growth opportunities, supporting a diverse portfolio of small to mid-sized enterprises.


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM EST (with potential flexibility once stable)

Responsibilities

  • Elevate day-to-day operations by expertly managing and transferring business data into QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile business credit card and bank statements and manage deposit of checks and cash.
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in monitoring and managing receivables and payables.
  • Reconcile payroll records to ensure accurate liability balances and timely payroll tax remittances to taxing authorities.
  • Participate in the clean-up and catch-up of new client QuickBooks files through thorough review and collaboration with clients to rectify identified errors.
  • Collaborate in providing comprehensive tax services for small businesses and individuals.
  • Transform receipt and document management by eliminating paper-based collections.
  • Oversee business expenses and receipts to ensure seamless tax filings and other financial processes.
  • Engage with key stakeholders through professional correspondence in both letter and email forms.
  • Prepare thorough business income and expense statements for tax filing and strategic planning.


Requirements

  • Remarkable communication, organizational, and planning skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Online certification with hands-on experience in both Desktop and Online platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a solid understanding of basic accounting concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Three to five years of accounting experience required.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
