Overview

Join a well-established Canadian company with a long-term vision and international growth ambitions. You will serve as the go-to QuickBooks Online expert, starting with critical file cleanup and compliance projects with the opportunity to grow into a primary accounting resource.


Hourly Rate:

  • Equivalent of USD 9/hour in the applicants local currency


Schedule:

  • 20+ hours per week – Flexible, but must have communication overlap between Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM EST.

Responsibilities

  • Clean up and organize QuickBooks Online files following migration from desktop QuickBooks
  • Prepare and file year-end documentation with Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA)
  • Provide expert guidance and support to existing in-house accounting staff
  • Handle direct communications with Canadian Revenue Agency officials when needed
  • Assess current accounting processes and recommend improvements for potential in-house transition
  • Ensure full compliance with Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate, organized financial records in QuickBooks Online system
  • Troubleshoot complex QBO issues and implement best practices


Requirements

  • QuickBooks Online certified expert status (certification required)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
  • Senior-level expertise beyond basic data entry and transaction recording
  • Strong communication skills for government agency interactions
  • Experience with QuickBooks migration and file remediation projects
  • BONUS if you have proven experience working with Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) and Canadian tax requirements
  • Previous experience with Canadian companies and Canadian accounting standards
  • Bonus if you have experience with international business expansion
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with mandate-based project work leading to long-term opportunities

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
