Senior Accountant

Job Description:

You’ll manage accounting for a multi-company operation across logistics, trucking, and commercial real estate. This role involves handling US and Canadian financial requirements while ensuring accuracy and compliance across a growing business portfolio.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 4:30pm Eastern Time

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-level banking operations and complex financial transactions
• Process payroll for multiple companies across US and Canadian operations
• Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow across diverse business entities
• Handle check batch processing and financial transaction oversight
• Maintain comprehensive bookkeeping records for logistics and real estate operations
• Manage accounting operations for Canadian trucking subsidiary
• Support financial operations across 10+ commercial properties
• Ensure compliance with both US and Canadian accounting standards and regulations

Requirements:

• QuickBooks Desktop certification (required)
• Experience with high-level banking operations and complex financial transactions
• Proven payroll processing experience across multiple entities
• Strong bank reconciliation and cash management skills
• Understanding of both US and Canadian accounting practices and compliance requirements
• Bonus if you have multi-entity accounting experience
• It helps if you have logistics or commercial real estate accounting background
