Job Description

Understand how data is used across the business and interpret stakeholder requirements to support process workflows, particularly in data conversion and achieving strategic goals.
Apply data engineering, software engineering, and data science methods to deliver business value by improving data accessibility, including ingestion, preparation, analytics processing, and conversion.
Identify, gather, clean, prepare, and store data while building reusable data products that follow established architectural standards.
Support data scientists by ensuring data availability for advanced analytics and assisting in the development of analytics models.
Create ETL jobs to bring SAP and other ERP data (such as JDE) into the data lake.
Build pipelines to transfer data from the lake into S/4HANA.
Assist in implementing SAP and other ERP data within the data lake environment.
Develop ECC CDS views that serve as data sources for SAP or ERP data ingestion processes.
Explore and utilize Azure Synapse to design data validation solutions for SAP or JDE data stored in the lake.
Collaborate with data analysts and architects to scale and deploy solutions, including models, documentation, training, and integrations.
Contribute to developing internal tools and supporting the deployment of technical services.

The Successful Applicant

A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of three years working with ETL processes, including hands-on development using SAP Data Services (BODS) for SAP data conversion.
Familiarity with the Oil & Gas sector.
Functional knowledge or experience with ERP systems such as SAP and JDE.
Experience in data acquisition, preparation, and validation; ETL-based data conversion; data movement and transformation; analytics architecture; big data technologies; cloud platforms; core data architecture; information security; and software engineering using tools such as SAP BODS, SAP SLT, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Python, T-SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Git, and ADO.
Demonstrated ability to apply software engineering principles in the management and development of data products.
Strong analytical, consulting, and critical-thinking skills.
