Virtual Rockstar is hiring a Revenue Cycle Coordinator on behalf of a physical therapy practice to support medical billing, claim resolution, and revenue cycle management. This role plays an important part in ensuring billing accuracy, maintaining compliance documentation, and helping the clinical team focus fully on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle Management


  • Audit claims to ensure billing accuracy before submission

  • Identify and resolve submission errors proactively

  • Monitor insurance claims and address denials in a timely manner

  • Review billing platform responses and ensure issues are resolved correctly


Patient Account Management


  • Process patient responsibility balances after insurance claims are completed

  • Verify correct payments collected at the time of service

  • Audit program, package, or membership payments to ensure accurate credits


Compliance & Documentation


  • Monitor Medicare Plan of Care (POC) compliance and track signed documentation

  • Maintain organized patient charts and attach required scanned documents

  • Ensure billing documentation meets compliance and regulatory standards


Administrative & Operational Support


  • Maintain accurate billing documentation within the EMR

  • Communicate billing issues or trends to leadership when identified

  • Support internal systems related to billing, insurance processing, and documentation

Tools You’ll Use
  • Healthcare EMR and billing systems

  • Athelas (preferred experience)

  • Insurance billing and claims platforms




Requirements

  • Experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle management

  • Strong attention to detail and auditing skills

  • Ability to identify and resolve billing or claim issues independently

  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills

  • Comfortable working remotely and managing tasks independently

  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and documentation standards preferred
