Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Recruiter specializing in healthcare staffing to manage our full-cycle recruitment of Registered Nurses (RNs) and actively expand our PRN (Proclaim Re Nata / as-needed) nurse pool.
This role is primarily execution-focused, utilizing Indeed and modern sourcing databases to identify top-tier talent, conduct initial clinical screenings, and maintain consistent communication loops throughout the hiring lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an exceptional relationship-builder who can engage comfortably with healthcare professionals, track shifting nurse availability, and build a reliable pipeline to meet current and future patient care demands.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Candidate Pipeline Development
Active Sourcing: Leverage Indeed Resume, internal databases, and localized healthcare platforms to identify and source qualified Registered Nurses (RNs).
Pipeline Cultivation: Proactively build and maintain a deep, continuous pipeline of active and passive RN candidates to support ongoing and future medical staffing needs.
PRN Pool Expansion: Actively grow and nurture a flexible PRN nurse pool, ensuring a steady network of credentialed professionals are ready for deployment.
Screening, Interviewing & Compliance Verification
Application Review: Screen incoming resumes and applications against strict clinical compliance and experience standards.
Initial Screenings: Conduct professional phone and video screenings to evaluate candidate formatting, clinical experience, and cultural alignment.
Process Tracking: Manage candidate progression through the hiring funnel, providing high-touch, empathetic communication to keep applicants engaged.
Availability Management & Operations Support
Data Maintenance: Track and map active PRN nurse availability, planned time off (PTO), and geographical preferences within company tracking sheets.
Cross-Functional Hand-offs: Coordinate with scheduling and clinical leadership teams to ensure qualified nurses are successfully aligned with the immediate needs of patient families.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of dedicated experience in recruiting, with a strong preference for high-volume healthcare staffing, nursing recruitment, or agency-level placement.
Platform Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience utilizing Indeed for candidate sourcing, messaging cadences, and pipeline management.
Healthcare Literacy: Solid understanding of nursing credentials, licensing requirements, and PRN workforce dynamics.
Execution & Resilience: Highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously while staying structured.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable conducting professional, empathetic interviews with skilled clinical professionals.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Pipeline Metrics: Maintaining a consistent, metric-driven pipeline of newly qualified RN applicants weekly.
Interview Volume: Executing a steady benchmark of scheduled, high-quality initial screenings per month.
PRN Growth: Demonstrating net-positive expansion of the active, deployable PRN nurse network.
Fill Rate Support: Successfully minimizing staffing gaps to ensure care needs are met seamlessly for client families.
