QuickBooks Bookkeeper

Job Highlights:

• Hourly Rate: USD 5.75, the equivalent in your local currency
• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, EST
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities:

• Own complete bookkeeping cycles from beginning to end for assigned client portfolio
• Manage accounts payable processes and execute payments on behalf of clients
• Handle accounts receivable management and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
• Conduct monthly reconciliations and ensure books are properly tied out at month-end
• Navigate restaurant-specific point-of-sale systems and payment processing software
• Manage e-commerce bookkeeping including platforms like Shopify integrations
• Work independently across 5-10 clients simultaneously with varying complexity levels
• Take initiative to identify priorities and tasks without requiring direction
• Maintain compliance and accuracy standards across diverse business types

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Zero
• Experience with restaurant bookkeeping and POS systems like Toast
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, particularly Shopify
• Experience working with US-based businesses and understanding of US accounting practices
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Bonus if you have experience with various payment processing software and point-of-sale systems
• It helps if you’re comfortable managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
