Job Description: Step into a role where your bookkeeping expertise directly impacts multiple thriving businesses. You’ll be the financial backbone for a well-established property management company, ensuring accurate records and seamless reconciliations across six distinct entities. This position offers the perfect blend of variety and stability – managing diverse business operations while maintaining excellent work-life balance with just 20 hours per week. You’ll work with modern tools, report to responsive leadership, and have the autonomy to manage your schedule within reasonable business hour requirements.


Job Highlights

  • Hourly Rate: USD 6.30, the equivalent in your local currency
  • Paid Hours per Week: 20
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, anytime between 9 am and 3 pm EST
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across 6 companies using QuickBooks and Google Workspace
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for approximately 18 bank accounts and 6 credit cards
  • Process transactions and ensure proper categorization for both service-based and real estate operations
  • Provide daily work summaries and maintain transparent communication with management team
  • Utilize secure remote worker software to protect sensitive financial information
  • Clock in/out accurately using time tracking systems to ensure accountability
  • Collaborate with the client’s assistant who handles 75% of ongoing communication
  • Maintain consistent productivity and meet all assigned deadlines
  • Support month-end closing processes and financial reporting as needed


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks and bookkeeping fundamentals
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and multi-entity bookkeeping
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely using personal equipment
  • Availability to work within North American business hours with some schedule flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills for daily reporting and client interaction
  • Bonus if you have experience with Google Workspace and property management accounting
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with time tracking software and secure remote access tools
