Quantity Surveyor And Estimator

Job Overview

This is a part-time remote position focused on pre-construction estimating and takeoff work using specialized construction software. The role may grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the tender review process and prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and documentation for review.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM AEDT (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, including requests for tender, supplementary engineering reports, and drawings.
• Extract information from tender documents and upload into Dindo estimating and takeoff software.
• Complete initial quantity takeoffs and populate data within Dindo for review.
• Draft tender methodology markup documents by extracting marked-up drawings from Dindo.
• Populate marked-up documents and drawings within provided templates with shorthand notes relating to the scope of works.

Requirements

• Mid to senior level experience in construction estimating and quantity surveying with 2-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with construction estimating and takeoff software, preferably Dindo or similar industry-standard platforms.
• Strong ability to review and interpret tender documents, engineering reports, and construction drawings to complete an accurate Bill of Quantities.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator for creating methodology markups (Preferred).
• Background in remedial or remediation construction projects (Preferred).
