Quality Assurance Specialist Healthcare Records

Job Highlights

• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm with 1 hour unpaid break | Central Standard Time
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and clinical notes from healthcare professionals on a weekly basis
• Audit patient records for discrepancies, inconsistencies, and abnormalities
• Ensure clinical notes are cohesive, comprehensive, and make logical sense
• Verify that patient records align with insurance company requirements and expectations
• Alert management to any documentation issues or abnormalities discovered during reviews
• Support insurance audit preparation and compliance efforts
• Manage and organize patient files and records systematically

Requirements

• Medical or healthcare background required
• Nursing or psychology background highly desirable
• Experience with healthcare documentation and record-keeping
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Familiarity with insurance requirements and healthcare compliance
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting findings
