Position Overview

The Pre-Construction Project Coordinator supports the planning and coordination of construction projects during the pre-construction phase. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while working with internal teams and clients.


Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm Central

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

  • Assist in creating and managing project schedules
  • Support pre-construction planning and project setup
  • Help track progress and flag potential risks

Documentation & Scope Management

  • Review and assist with project scope and requirements
  • Prepare and maintain documents such as purchase orders, checklists, and project files
  • Ensure all project information is accurate and organized

Communication

  • Provide updates to clients and internal teams
  • Maintain clear and professional communication
  • Assist with regular project reporting

Systems & Data Management

  • Update project management systems with accurate information
  • Organize and upload project documents, photos, and notes
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date records

Budget & Compliance Support

  • Assist with tracking project budgets
  • Support permit applications and documentation
  • Ensure processes follow company guidelines

Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with team members and supervisors
  • Participate in meetings and support project execution
  • Ask questions and clarify details when needed


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience in construction or engineering is a plus
  • Experience in project management is preferred

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
