Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal with experience in family law to support our legal team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth progression of cases by managing documentation, handling court filings, and providing administrative and research support.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment with strict deadlines.


Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sydney Time) with a 30-minute paid break


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file court documents accurately and within required deadlines
  • Manage and navigate court portals to ensure timely submission of legal filings
  • Maintain and update case files using Smokeball or similar practice management software
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers, including drafting correspondence, scheduling, and document organization
  • Assist with legal research and compile relevant case materials
  • Ensure compliance with court procedures and jurisdictional requirements
  • Organize and maintain digital records and documentation for easy retrieval
  • Support case preparation, including briefs and evidence collation


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably within family law or a related field
  • Strong understanding of court processes, legal documentation, and filing systems
  • Experience using Smokeball or similar legal practice management software is highly preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in document preparation
  • Strong written communication and professional correspondence skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
