About The Opportunity
This role will participate in the development, implementation and execution of Business Continuity Management practices and the day-to-day activities that support the operation and advancement of the global Operational Resilience Program, including strategy, design, implementation, communication, performance, and continuous improvement. This role can require specialization in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery.
What Youll Get To Do
- Lead and support Business Continuity and technology Disaster Recovery preparation and assurance activities across a global organization.
- Support drafting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Coordinate business function and technology teams, exercises, and testing activities for various levels of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery maturity.
- Facilitate pre-exercise planning sessions, define scope and success criteria, and produce detailed post-exercise reports outlining outcomes, gaps, and remediation plans.
- Track remediation action items and drive accountability to ensure recovery objectives are achievable and aligned with business requirements.
- Provide on-call support for the incident response process to support plan activation.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build and maintain Crisis Management readiness processes, technologies, and response documentation as needed for event monitoring, leading activation and response steps as needed.
- Maintain strong working relationships with business function leaders, application owners, system administrators, and infrastructure teams, leading them through required planning, documentation, and exercises activities.
- Utilize Business Continuity Management System tools to manage plans, exercise records, and reporting.
- Lead annual documentation maintenance, review, and approval processes.
- Contribute to audit readiness efforts, supporting internal and external compliance requirements, and provide responses and required evidence of Business Continuity capabilities to customer requests.
- Apply all aspects of the Business Continuity Management lifecycle as needed, including:
- The Business Impact Analysis process
- Process and technology criticality determination, Recovery Time Objectives, and Recovery Point Objectives
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan development
- Leading technology Disaster Recovery tests and functional Business Continuity exercises
- Develop and Implement Business Continuity Management related initiatives and awareness programs.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of program materials including framework, policies, and standards.
- Provide input to stakeholders regarding risk mitigation strategies to reduce operational risk profile associated with business processes or technologies and maintain continuity of operations.
- Stay informed of technology advances and industry best practices.
Skills And Experience We Value
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Experience with ISO 22301 compliance
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, SaaS delivery models, and high-availability infrastructure
- Solutions-oriented team player with demonstrated collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
- Project Management skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to work a schedule aligned with North America business hours
What Would Make You Really Stand Out
- BCI or DRII certification or equivalent
- Experience using BCMS platforms, preferably Infinite Blue/Everbridge BCIC
