Project Overview

We are sourcing independent Online Ordering Implementation Experts to provide onboarding and technical consultation for a digital commerce project. As restaurants and merchants increasingly adopt direct, commission-free online ordering platforms, their success depends on seamless integration and brand consistency. The objective of this project is to autonomously guide merchants through the setup of their Online Ordering pages, ensuring correct integration with their existing websites, Google My Business (GMB), and Google Food Ordering (GFO).

Project Deliverables & Scope

Operate autonomously to manage merchant implementations and provide technical guidance. Expected deliverables include:

  • Implementation & Integration: Guiding merchants through full setup sessions to ensure high-quality Online Ordering implementations, including testing links and integrating them into current websites, GMB, and GFO.
  • Brand Customization & Web Development: Assisting merchants in building new websites when needed or customizing existing pages to reflect their visual identity and meet strict design standards.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & POS Integration: Independently processing complex integrations (such as Toast POS) and dual menus, ensuring all ordering links are fully functional and resolving any technical barriers.
  • Virtual Client Engagement & Consultation: Leading high-volume, video-based consultation meetings (such as Kick-Off Calls), uncovering merchant needs, addressing technology/cost objections, and resolving pending deliverables.

Required Expertise

To successfully fulfill the deliverables of this project, Contractors must possess a strong blend of technical agility and virtual client engagement experience.

Core Skillset Includes

  • Proven experience leading high-volume, video-based consultative conversations with external merchants, demonstrating a strong customer-first mindset.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new platforms quickly, build trust, and confidently handle objections related to technology, time, or cost.
  • Detail-oriented communication skills to uncover merchant needs through structured questioning and articulate relevant digital solutions.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, restaurant POS systems (especially Toast), and basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or website customization. Prior experience in B2B sales, customer success, or merchant onboarding is highly valued.

Service Fees

We offer a pay rate of $5 per hour. As a contractor you’ll supply a secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
