Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Accounting Department Support Specialist to join our growing finance team and play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial backbone of our organization. This is an exceptional opportunity to utilize your NetSuite expertise while managing comprehensive accounting functions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. You’ll have the autonomy to oversee multiple critical financial processes while working with a supportive team that values accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth. Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm EST Michigan; 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive bookkeeping and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records
  • Provide essential general ledger support and ensure timely account reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable processes efficiently, including vendor relationship coordination
  • Handle accounts receivable functions and oversee customer billing operations
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and assist with critical reporting requirements
  • Oversee expense management systems and maintain accurate expense tracking
  • Maintain organized, compliant record-keeping systems that support business operations
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial workflow and communication



Requirements

  • Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software with hands-on experience
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and general ledger management
  • Proven experience with financial reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles and accounting best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Experience in a technology or communications industry environment preferred

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
