Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced MYOB Bookkeeper to support their finance team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong MYOB experience who enjoys reconciling accounts, cleaning up financial records, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. You will work closely with the client to maintain reliable financial data and support ongoing accounting processes.


Client Overview

Our client operates a global coffee production and export business, supplying premium coffee to customers across Australia, Asia, Europe, and other international markets. They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support their accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, completing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting requirements.


Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours [AEST] (20 work hours per week)


Responsibilities

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations across two MYOB company files.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly GST reports and assist with GST lodgement requirements.
  • Clean up, organize, and reconcile historical accounting records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with the client via video calls, email, and messaging platforms.
  • Assist with general bookkeeping and accounting tasks as required.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Australian bookkeeping standards.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience using MYOB.
  • Solid understanding of bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and GST reporting and lodgement.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Professional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a flexible part-time schedule.
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable remote work setup.


Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting export, manufacturing, or international trade businesses.
  • Previous experience cleaning up incomplete or disorganized accounting records.
  • Familiarity with Australian accounting practices and GST compliance requirements.
