Motivational Content Video Editor

Overview:

We are a global faith-based organization focused on creating impactful digital content that inspires, motivates, and strengthens communities worldwide. Our content reaches audiences across multiple social platforms with a strong emphasis on storytelling, engagement, and relevance to modern trends.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Video Editor to join our creative team. This role goes beyond basic editing — you will be responsible for shaping compelling, trend-aware, and emotionally engaging motivational videos that align with our vision and message.

You should be proactive, creatively driven, and able to independently take ideas from concept to final output with minimal supervision.

Schedule:

• Mondays to Thursdays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sundays, on-call (US Eastern Time), with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week, 8 hours per day)

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit high-quality short-form and long-form video content for social media platforms
• Create motivational and inspirational videos aligned with the organization’s mission
• Transform raw footage into compelling storytelling content with strong emotional impact
• Stay updated with current social media trends, formats, and editing styles
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop content ideas and visual direction
• Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all videos
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Suggest creative improvements and new content approaches proactively

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Video Editor (social media-focused preferred) for at least 5 years
• Strong proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and emotional engagement in video content
• Familiarity with current social media trends (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
• Portfolio showcasing relevant video editing work (motivational or social content preferred)
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps)
