Mid-Level 3D Designer For Furniture Design

This is a remote role & applicants will need to be based in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be contracted with Crafty Simon Inc., our Philippine-based entity.

This is a remote contract role for a Mid-Level 3D Designer – Furniture Design. We are specifically looking for a 3D designer with at least 3 years of professional experience who is confident in creating high-quality 3D models and bringing creative concepts to life.

While prior furniture design experience is not required, you will receive on-the-job guidance and training to specialise in children’s furniture design. This role is ideal for someone who already has solid 3D design fundamentals and is ready to apply their skills to a new and exciting niche.

Responsibilities include developing detailed 3D models, designing fun and imaginative furniture concepts for children, collaborating with the team to refine ideas, and preparing presentation-ready visuals. You will ensure all designs meet client specifications while balancing creativity, functionality, and production considerations.

We are looking for a designer who is not entry-level, but who is eager to grow into a furniture design specialist through hands-on training and real project experience.

Shift Hours

• Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) 1pm-5pm / Philippine Time (PHT) - 11am-3pm
• Australian Daylight Saving Time (ADST) 1pm-5pm / Philippine Time (PHT) - 10am-2pm

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and design luxury furniture collections tailored for children’s rooms, balancing sophistication, functionality, and child-friendly design, including packaging design.
• Create design concepts, sketches, detailed drawings, and 3D renderings using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, SketchUp).
• Collaborate with client to ensure design integrity, craftsmanship, and production quality.
• Present design concepts to management, providing clear visual and technical documentation.
• Ensure all designs adhere to strict style guides that are provided by the licensors
• Ensure all designs comply with brand and safety standards set by the client.

Requirements

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in 3D Design and 3D Modelling
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Design, Arts, or a related field is a plus
• Proficiency in CAD and 3D modelling software (3ds Max, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or equivalent) and rendering programs (KeyShot, V-Ray, etc.).
• Strong background in Graphic Design
• Experience with creating Lighting and Animation features for visual enhancements
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to bring designs to life
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet contract deadlines
• Flexibility to work collaboratively in a remote environment
• Strong sense of style, creativity, and attention to fine details.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with bespoke or handcrafted furniture collections.
• Understanding of ergonomic principles and child safety regulations.
• Familiarity with high-end interior design trends and luxury brand aesthetics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with artisans, engineers, and interior designers.
