Job Description

Overview

Manage essential dispatch and customer service operations for a specialized medical transportation provider with over a decade of experience. You will be responsible for coordinating stretcher and wheelchair transport, processing payments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and field teams.


Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer service to patients, healthcare facilities, and brokers.
  • Schedule non-emergency medical transportation appointments using the companys transportation management software.
  • Process payments over the phone for private pay customers who prefer not to use online payment links.
  • Handle real-time customer service requests such as coordinating driver locations and addressing patient concerns.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and support additional business projects during periods of lower call volume.
  • Communicate with field managers and drivers to ensure smooth coordination of transportation services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in the transportation management system.


Must-Have Requirements

  • Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare administration or medical office environments
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and ability to learn new technology platforms quickly
  • Ability to handle payment processing and sensitive customer information with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Previous experience in medical transportation, logistics coordination, or dispatch operations
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing processes, Medicaid, Medicare, or insurance verification
  • HIPAA compliance knowledge or certification
  • Experience working with dialysis, chemotherapy, or other routine medical appointment scheduling
